Maren is 18 months old! She turned 18 months in June, but just had her check up today. While getting weighed, she screamed and screamed, but when she got her shots, she let out a mere, "wah." Crazy girl! Maren had a big growth spurt and is now in the 45th percentile for height and the 25th for weight----no longer a teeny-weeny thing! It took her a whole year to even make it onto the growth chart. 
I feel so blessed to have a little girl. She is the "delight of my heart and the darling of my eye (just heard that quote from Abigail Adams, former first lady describing her own little boy)." I concur. She is so special to me. The relationship I have with my own mother means so much to me....is sacred really. I hope that Maren and I will share such a bond throughout this life and into the eternities. Right now, she is a typical toddler, making messes whenever my back is turned. Just yesterday, I set my mascara tube on the bathroom counter, turned away..... turned back to see mascara in her hair, on her hands, all over her face and clothing. ARGH! Hopefully, our relationship won't always be so difficult! 
Yeah Maren! She definelty looks like she is up to something in those last two pictures! What a doll!
ReplyDeleteShe is so cute! Way to go Maren for catching up in height and weight:) Juliet and I miss her. BTW, I totally made a comment on your last post a week ago or something... I just saw that it's not there for some reason. I wonder if I got to hit "post comment" or something. Anyway, I'm so proud of you for budgeting so well, and in cash! Maybe my CPA husband would like that too:)
