Maren got to be alone with Mommy and Daddy! She played in all of Blake's toys--without getting pushed, punched, or yelled at. She got to take a nap in Blake's "big boy" bed. She didn't have to share ANYTHING. We took her to the park and to the store and she got to play the game where Mommy holds one hand and Daddy holds the other and
she gets to swing....no Blake to ask for a turn. Mommy read her lots of books---books she picked out with pages she turned whenever she wanted. When we asked her what a duck says, she said, "Quack, quack," without Blake "helping." For the first time in her little life, she got to be an only child and I think she loved it. (She cried when Blake sat on my lap to read.)
It was also a good opportunity for Mommy and Daddy to get to know her a little better. Here's some pictures of her independence!

Yea for Maren! She's so cute, I'm glad she got a little time with just Mommy and Daddy. And it sounds like Blake was a big boy camping too:) BTW, I feel so special that Blake includes his aunt Katrina in his drawings. JC and I loved the purple bike video.
