This winter, I'm thinking about snow tires, my electric bill, driving long distances and all the other worries that come with snow. Argh! I hate the ice on the roads, bundling kids in huge, snow coats---only to wrestle them into the car seat straps---then they get hot and want their coats off, but we're only going on a short drive. Whew! It's a nightmare---all the other adults in my life are echoing the disdain.
Then---it actually came. My children were mesmerized by the newly fallen snow.
Then---it actually came. My children were mesmerized by the newly fallen snow.
Instantly, I remembered--sledding, hot chocolate, snowmen, Christmas, family, and all the other things that fall right with that snow. Aren't kids incredible?

Until they fall into the snow, pause for a moment, realize it is cold, and start to scream...
ReplyDeleteAww, they look so cute in the PJs looking at the snow. It's nice to be reminded about the exciting parts of winter...
