'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the rental
Not a creature was stirring, except for Maren who isn't sleeping.

The stockings were hung by the chimney that we're not allowed to use,
In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there, but not too close because he's scary.
The children were nestled all snug in mommy and daddy's bed, while mommy moves to the couch.
While visions of sugarplums danced in their heads;
And Daddy in his workout shorts and I in my sweats
Had just settled down for a short winter's nap, until Maren screams to get out of the crib.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
twisted the vertical blind thingy, and pulled on the cord.
*Although our home is not one out of Clement Moore's iconic poem, our little apartment is absolutely decked out in Christmas. Blake and Maren love the tree and all the decorations. They play a game where they hide, then I say, "Come look at the tree!" Then they run out and act surprised at how pretty it is. Their excitement has already made our Christmas.
So, from our house to yours.....
"Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Night!"

I love the excitement of little people at christmas time! Wish I was there to play with them. Oh how quickly they grow up and have babes of their own. Have a wonderful holiday my friend
