Whew!

It is finished....the last box has been packed. The fake needles have been vacuumed up and I have the time to reflect on yet another Christmas. I heard a quote, "Which is better? The expectation of presents or actually opening the presents." I have to go with the expectation.

I have enjoyed getting ready for Christmas with my little ones. Loved the advent calendar, the reindeer food, putting the star on the tree......the excitment of walking into decorated stores, Christmas lights, fudge, and preparing for The Day. My kids are such a good age----still believing in all things magical and not yet expecting presents. I have to admit--after the final turkey dinner was cleaned up, I felt a bit deflated---all the buildup, then just like that, it's over. Whew!

My mom, stepdad, and brother came from Missoula. My niece and sister-in-law visited all day Christmas. There was limited arguing and lots of laughing. Another whew!

Here's the pictures!

Blake got the one thing he asked Santa for....... a blue light sabre!

Maren got a hair syling kit! Since then, we've all had our hair fixed by our little professional!

After all the presents and money spent---they just wanted to eat their 99 cent suckers.

Argh...
